O/R: Church Services Jummah Prayers put hold for the next two weeks at Krachi Nchumuru District

The DCE for Krachi Nchumuru District in the Oti Region, Hon. Augustine Kwame Appiah has put on hold all church services and Jummah prayers in the district for the next two weeks.

In an exclusive interview with ghfactsonline.com reporter, Odehyeba Owusu Job alias DJ FIRE, the District Chief Executive for Krachi Nchumuru, Hon. Augustine Kwame Appiah said that since the 10th address to the nation by the president, His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday, 31st May, 2020 on some of the measures to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic especially, social gathering in churches, mosques and funerals among others, the Krachi Nchumuru District Assembly has decided to put on hold all religious activities, until the churches and mosques are totally disinfected and for that matter, the Assembly and the opinion leaders have decided to disinfect all the churches and Mosque before church service can start officially with the total number of 100 as directed by the president.

The DCE sent a strong warning to all pastors and imams in the District to adhere to this directive by the Assembly and warn that, any one who failed to abide by the rules will be dealt with.
