N/R: Gushegu MP Withdraws from NPP Primaries

The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture and Member of Parliament for Gushegu Constituency in the northern region, Hon. Dr. Ziblim Iddi has withdrawn from the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries scheduled to come off on 20th June, 2020.

The MP in a letter issued on Thursday, 4th June, 2020 and addressed to the General Secretary of the NPP stated that, he took the decision to withdraw from the contest after broad consultation and and deep introspection.

He also directed the General Secretary, John Boadu to withdraw his application and delete his profile on the notice of poll and ballot paper for the election.

Reasons for the MP’s withdrawal is not known yet but ghfactsonline.com understands there has been a misunderstanding between the MP and the regional chairman and some executives of the party in the northern region.
