Those sharing false information about Covid-19 should be arrested… Dr. Khaliq

A Ghanaian medical practitioner operating in South Africa, Dr. Mohammed Sherif Abdul Khaliq is proposing for the arrest of people who share false information about the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

Dr. Mohammed Sherif Abdul Khaliq said this in response to a story published by where a certain Nana Guan who is currently the CEO of Guan Bay Herbal and Spiritual Clinic is reported to have claimed he has medicine for the the deadly Coronavirus.

But in response, Dr. Mohammed Sherif Abdul Khaliq who is currently the Registrar at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecologist in South Africa believes such people should be arrested and prosecuted just as it is done in other countries.

“He wants to cash in on innocent and gullible people of our country, for the record there is no cure right now for Covid-19”. Dr. Khaliq added.

Dr. Khaliq advised the general public to practice the precautionary measures such as staying at home, social distancing, hand washing with soap and using of hand sanitizers.

He further advised media practitioners not to project such criminals as it only make the control of the COVID-19 very difficult and called for change of behavior in this difficult times. Yakubu Abdul Mumin
