It is with no choice that the organisers of the most prestigious Northern Ghana Entertainment Awards (NEA) officially announce the postponement of this year’s awards scheduled for 27th March, 2020. This year’s NEA has been postponed to Saturday 11th April, 2020 following the COVID-19 global pandemic and government’s ban on public gathering not exceeding 25 people.
It is our prayer that by 11th April, the COVID-19 spread would have been contained for government to lift the ban on public gathering.
However, if in the unfortunate situation by Saturday 11th April, the COVID-19 spread is not contained, organisers have no choice than to resort to social media (Live telecast on our digital platforms) to announce the winners of the Awards for our all cherish nominees, stakeholders and general public to watch from the comfort of their homes.
In view of this postponement, the deadline for the public voting has also been extended to Thursday 9th April 2020.
We sincerely apologize to all nominees, stakeholders and entertainers across Northern Ghana for any inconvenience caused by this decision. We would like to also use this opportunity to remind the general public to follow the preventive measures issued by the WHO, Ghana Health Service, and to comply with Government’s directives.
Thank you for your continuous support and understanding in this very crucial time.
